| Going to Disney for 2 days because I'll be there for work. DH is coming but no kids. Trying to decide if we need park hoppers or just pick two parks to do. We haven't been for 15 years. We definitely will be going to Epcot. Is Hollywood Studios worth it? It looks like a lot of it is under construction. Any other thoughts/tips for a non kid oriented visit? |
| Always get the hopper so you have options. |

I go to Disney frequently without kids because I run a lot of the races.
Hollywood Studios is my favorite park, even though it's under construction. The Beauty and the Beast Show is gorgeous-and Tower of Terror is my favorite ride. Do you like to "sing along?" There is a piano bar called JellyRolls on the Boardwalk. It's 21+ and a LOT of fun. No food is served (except little baskets of popcorn) and the drinks are kind of expensive--and there is a $12/person cover charge. It gets packed after about 9:30 pm or so. It's one of my favorite things at Disney. I've also heard the new bar at the Polynesian is great, but I have never been. It's 21+ after 8 pm, and I heard it gets really crowded as well. |
This, Epcot and Hollywood Studios are not always full days. They close early some nights so its nice to have the option of another park afterward. Parks are fun at night. |

I would not do Hollywood studios (except maybe if you're big Star Wars fans). Maybe animal kingdom if you like animals. There are some good shows there (festival of the lion king, especially, but I also liked the raptor show); the yeti ride is fun; and the dinosaur one is okay. Especially if the new part will be open with the night show and the avatar ride.
I think park hopper is a rip off. Just do one park and then go hang out at disney springs or the hotel. |
| Without kids, and with only two days...I definitely suggest the park hopper. |
| Thanks, very helpful. We'll get park hoppers. Looks like there have been a lot of changes since we were last there - will be interesting to see. |
| Without kids, you'll probably want to go to Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom. I'd skip magic kingdom if I was there without my kids. Disney Springs is also great for dinner and shopping. If the last time you were there was 15 years ago, Disney Springs is what used to be called Downtown Disney, and it's a zillion times bigger now. |
| Epcot is my top choice for a kid less trip! Fun browsing, eating and drinking in World Showcase. |
| Honestly as an adult I would just spend 2 days at Epcot eating, drinking, and exploring the shops in all of the countries. We tend to go every year with the kids, though, and whatever we would usually do at the other parks we can do with kids. |
| I have been to Disney with kids a lot lately, and wouldn't waste solo time on Epcot! I can shop and drink and eat better international food in DC! What I cannot do in DC, and cannot do at Disney with kids, is ride all MY favorite rides in whatever order I want, without worrying about naps or bathroom breaks or kids being scared/too little for the rides I like. I can't even start thinking about what I would do with a solo trip because it's making me want to go. |
This. There are so many restaurants for 1/2 to 1/3 the price right outside Disney that are far better. We go for the rides. |
