I am interested in getting away with DC around christmas time. An all inclusive resort with a kids program would be ideal. Any body have any recommendations?
Many thanks! |
| Have you considered a cruise? I have done a caribbean cruise several times with kids over the holidays and it was absolutely perfect for us. |
Depends on how old the kids are. You will see previous threads that say taking a toddler on a cruise was the worst mistake ever. OP-there is a Beaches resort in Turks and Caicos. |

We stayed at the Melia Caribe Tropical in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic last year and had a terrific time. They have a great kids program.

OP,
Thanks to all of you for your input. I have never been on a cruise, but I have heard they are ideal for kids so i will look into some. I think my preference may be land though as I am not really that comfortable on boats (am really prone to sea sickness...) Thanks, Jeff, for your suggestion. Dominican Republic is one of the places I am looking at so I am definitely interested in the resort you stayed at. |
| Club Med in Punta Cana also is nice and has a great program for the kids. |
| Club Med in Punta Cana or Mexico; Beaches in Negril, Jamaica or Turks and Caicos; Franklyn D. Resort in Jamaica. All great for people with kids. |

We went to Grand Palladium/Lady Hamilton in Jamaica. We enjoyed it, but wished the kids program had been as good as the cruise we went on last summer.
At Franklyn D. Resort in Jamaica, you get your own nanny for your stay. Really considered going there. |
| jsut starteda new thread re the franklyn d resort... is this place for real? a vacation nanny? sounds too good to be true! |
| OP here, Thanks to all of for these great suggestions! I have a lot of great options to choose from! |
