I know, I know, I am weird! I am from Eastern Europe and we used to have roasted suckling pig for holidays and weddings. I love it. Not Chinese suckling pig, one with basically just salt and crackling skin. If you know of a place where they roast it that would be great. It is never as good from the oven as from a huge baking pit. I don't need the whole one, just maybe 1/4. I've looked and looked online, but no luck. TIA |
Tavira has or used to have it. Maybe as a special. Check with them. |
Look for puerto rican places |
It looked good on Top Chef last night! |
Serbfest always has them: http://www.serbfestdc.com/
You can ask who they use for that, or just go to the next festival -- should be one around May, and it's fun. Also try a Filipino grocery/restaurant like the one in Rockville (Pampanga?). They call it lechon but it's the same thing. |
Thank you! I will look into the fest and Filipino grocery and restaurants. |
If you have a back yard you can rent a rotisserie spit and roast one yourself. We did that for a graduation several years ago. |
Yep! Try the Filipino markets! You'll have to put an order though!!! Yummmy! |
