Does 19 kids and two teachers seem like a lot, or is this fairly typical? Thanks. |
If its for 4 year olds, its not too bad. The 4's class at our private school is between 16-18. |
The 4 yo class in our school will have 10 kids this year. One teacher, one assistant teacher. It is the last year of preschool, but not an official Pre-K program. |
My son's 4 yr old class can have up to 8 children but I am guessing he will have between 6-8 kids. BTW- His preschool doesn't call the 4 yr old class pre-K even though it is the year before K. What is the difference between a pre-K class and a 4 yr old class? |
The pre-k class my child will attend next year ( a true pre-k...whatever that means) can have up to 15 kids with 2 teachers. Seems great to me...especially since both the teachers are former public school k teachers! |
OP here...I'm not sure what the difference is between the 4 yr old class and Pre-K...my son's school has both, and the curriculum seems to be the same. But it sounds like 19 is a pretty large class. 8 kids would be great! What school is that? |
Our pre-K class had 19 students and 3 FT teachers. |
It is up near Baltimore. NAEYC accredited. Great school! |
My child had 22 with 2 teachers and it was fine. The teachers were almost polar opposites in many ways but it worked well and I have zero regrets. Easy adjustment to Kindy too. |
