Can someone describe the test WPPSI?

I have been reading a lot of posts about this test but don't know anything about it other than many schools require it for admissions. I understand it is administered individually to children ages 3 and 4. I have a 2 year old and cannot imagine that by next fall he will willingly go with a complete stranger into a room and answer questions even if they are called "games." How long does it take? How much does it cost (ballpark)? Do they give you the results before you apply so that you can decide to apply and where? My son seems bright but has anyone else had their child not want to leave them and not want to answer questions?

A good description can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WPPSI. I takes anywhere from 30-45 for the younger kids to 1 1/2 hours for the older kids. The cost varies by tester, but is generally around $325. You can specify which schools you'd like scores submitted to before the test is administered or after the test is administered / after you get the results. Results usually take about 2 weeks to get.
