Student ID

I'm completing an application on MySchoolDC and it's asking for my child's "school ID."
Does everyone have this? Where would I be able to find this information for my PK kid?

From the MSDC FAQ:

Where can I find my child's student ID number?

If you need help finding your child's Student ID, please call your child's school or the My School DC Hotline at (202) 888-6336, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. A Student ID is only required for applicants who currently attend a DCPS or public charter school. If an applicant is not currently enrolled in a public school in DC, they do not need to provide an ID. Applicants may also use their DC One Card number if they do not have their Student ID number readily available.

It used to be on report cards too. Not sure if that's still the case.

I don't think t\you need one. I submitted last year without them and it all seemed to work OK. I have no idea what they are and don't want to ask school because . . . why would I be asking except I'm playing teh lottery

If your child is older than Kindergarten, they might know it, though they probably don't know that it's their Student ID. It's their username for logging in to DCPS computers and online programs like iReady and Lexia.

Sorry, just saw that you specified PK. But for others looking for their child's ID, the above should work for DCPS students.

I called my son's school office and the administrator pulled up his number for me. She said that you can find it on their progress reports. My son is PK3

you also need the # to do the payments for school lunches online and other types of forms - so it's not unusual for parents to ask the school administrator for the ID # - so it's not a tip off that you are applying to the lottery to do so

The schools don't care if you are playing the lottery. Really
