This is the first summer they are offering the foundations of computer science- so will likely be hard to get feedback. Maybe check with the head of the technology department at your school?

Can we get our hands on the curriculum and syllabus for these two programs? Available on the MCPS website?

Take foundations of comp sci, far less useless than foundations of technology.

My child is in Foundations of Comp Sci now..terrible curriculum. Very little programming. History of Women in Computing. Should you buy a MAC or PC? It was a much better class before it became a tech requirement. Now it seems to be a very low level class. Of course maybe that means an easy summertime A!

I did not realize that if you took Foundations of Comp Sci over summer it will cost you $600 if you are not eligible for financial aid.

The infographics is very telling but data is very old. I am suspecting in the last 5 years a lot more students are taking these online graduation requirements as well as the AP courses/

Curious if anyone is taking an online AP course. The cost of $800 does not seem worthwhile (if the info is current).

Any idea of the curriculum?

I found this resource online. Not sure that if the Comp.Sci syllabus will be similar...
