| I picked up the information for this while at the gym yesterday and was shocked as to how "cheap" it is in comparison to the other options that we are considering. Any experience with it? |

My son went to the Fairfax Lifetime Fitness camp a few years ago when he was 6. It wasn't good.
They gave him a snack with peanuts in it even though we told them he was allergic to nuts and he was wearing a wristband to show he was allergic. Luckily he didn't eat the snack. They say the kids get to swim everyday, which is why we signed up. Half of the days they didn't have swimming because they said they didn't have enough staff to supervise the kids. They lost paperwork 3 different times. When I'd go to pick my son up, the kids were watching videos while the "counselors" played on their phone. I don't know what the Reston LF is like, but I wouldn't recommend Fairfax. |
| My children took a couple of one-day camps at the Reston Life time (Teacher work day or a federal holiday). They disliked it. Like the PP said, we were told they would go swimming and that's the main reason they wanted to go there. Unfortunately, they did not go swimming. DH did drop off and pick up and the first impression he got when he dropped them off is that the staff clearly did not want to be there. It was a huge help that they could get lunch there which they liked. I don't have experience with the summer camp so maybe the summer camp is better. I like the idea of adding swimming lessons to the summer camp session. |
| I am interested too. Debating all the camps |
My recommendation would be to sign them up for the teacher work day camp as a way to check it out. |
