Which is stronger academically?

Bancroft or Powell? Recently separated and now have to adjust my lottery choices. I'm currently IB for Powell and my ex has moved IB for Bancroft. Which would you choose? Commute either way works fine for the both of us; at least that's something we can agree on.

If you're entering Powell for PK3 and with gentrification still happening in that neighborhood, Powell may be strong academically in a few years.

Now the question is, are parents staying past 1st grade?

I know many Powell parents determined to ride it out to 5th.

Determined to ride it out to 5th doesn't sound very encouraging when the alternative is going to Bancroft and then off to Deal.

I would say both are equally strong- but with the transition of the principal at Powell, I would say Bancroft. Strong principal- good teacher support. Lots of involved parents, from across the school community.

Bancroft has a new Principal as well, correct?
