Whole Kids Academy

I am looking for an infant daycare in North Bethesda/Rockville. Could anyone provide a recent review on Whole Kids Academy on Executive blvd? I wonder this daycare is still running as acccording to the Maryland childcare database, "no inspections have been conducted for this provider since January 2011." Thanks!

The daycare recently moved from closer to Montgomery Mall to Executive Blvd, so maybe there are no reviews due to the location switch? We toured the old location a year ago while pregnant. The kids seemed happy and well cared for, and they touted the fact that they run a Spanish immersion program. We opted for a different daycare that was more established especially since Whole Kids indicated they were hoping to switch locations. But overall, it seemed like a good place based on our limited knowledge of it. (I still get emails from them which is how I knew about the move).

Our daughter started at the original location at 6 months old and is now at the new location on Exec. Blvd. We could not be happier with the teachers, the fun activities, administration, and community of parents. My daughter can understand everything her teachers say in Spanish now too. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Note that they are a bit pricier than some other places we've visited in the area, but they are the BEST, have small class sizes, low child/teacher ratio, and we think it's worth it. They are so accommodating to my child and loving. Every staff member knows my kid's name...and that's out of a lot of kids!

OP here- We visited Whole Kids Academy and realized that it is a Spanish immersion school. DH and I speak different foreign languages and communicate in English. So if we sent our son there, it would be quadrilingual for him. DH was a bit hesitant about it. Anyways, they have great facilities and the teachers seem very nice. Kids looked very happy and relaxed.

I have a child there who has been attending for over 2 years. We love the school. The staff is by far the best we have encountered and have experience with 3 other Bethesda programs. The only negative to me is the new location. I don't like the playground set up and pick up and drop off is more time consuming than I would like.

Bump! Was also interested in finding out what others think of their infants program. Thanks!

I toured it a couple months ago and will be enrolling my DD there this fall (3 years old). I have no experience yet with actually being enrolled there, but we found the location to be charming and everyone we met was welcoming and engaging. At the end of my open house tour, the infant room folks were loading the babies into one of the those daycare strollers for multiple kids and were taking them outside to enjoy the sunshine and plant some flowers. The rooms all seemed to be in good order and the children all seemed to be florishing in the classrooms we visited (We got to see all the rooms from infant to pre-school). I look forward to starting DD there.

Our 3yr old has been in 4 different places and WKA is hands down the best care we've found for our kids. The teachers are trustworthy, communicative and extremely nurturing. My son always asks for his teachers on the weekends, and they were patient with him during the transition to daycare, potty training, and managing big emotions. I'm so glad we ended up here.
