Kiawah SC vs Sea Island Ga for annivesary trip?

Looking to go somewhere in May to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We will be bringing the kids (infant, 5yo and 7yo). We want to go away for like 4-5 days.

Which do you think is better - Kiawah or Sea Island?
Which has better kid activities?

Sea island is much more upscale. The rooms are nicer and wider variety of dining and rooms. I'm biased towards sea island. The spa is also amazing.

I would do inn at bluffton over both.

What's with all the posts about Sea Island lately? And always by someone with 2 older kids and a baby.

Just go already - you obviously want to! Or do a seach because there are lots of threads on this.

I regularly go to both Kiawah and Sea Island. I prefer Kiawah because of the access to Charleston.

Sea Island is gorgeous, but aside from the kids camp, there really isn't a lot to do with young kids. If you do go, stay at the beach club. You'll be closer to the beach and the pools. The pools are better at Sea Island for kids.

I actually think the Sanctuary is better than the Cloisters, but they are really close. The spa in Kiawah is better as is the food.

Getting to Kiawah is a little easier than Sea Island. That said, I do love both.

Kids are not allowed in the indoor pool or the Cloisters (oceanfront) pool so I would do Kiawah. Night Heron pool would be fun for the kids.

What? The are allowed in the oceanfront pool that also has a slide. Tons of kids activities including tennis camps /skeet shooting/fishing trips and a naturalist excursion. I have been to both and they are both amazing. Sea Island a bit more upscale but again they are both lovely.
