Has anyone tried Layer3 as a cable provider?

DH wants to try it. I am reluctant to switch.

Bump - I would like to know, too - and whether compatible with Tivo.

Yes -- my big issues are 1) will I hit my internet cap and 2) I need an ipad app to watch tv like I have with FIOS.

We switched last week. So good so far. They seem to have everything on demand that FIOS did and the interface is better. We've had a heck of a time getting the routers all set up with our other devices (it messed up the game console, which is the console's fault). We should save $30-40 a month. But it's only been a week.

We switched last month and so far so good. Our internet is Fios, 75/75 plan for $70/month. We've never needed an iPad to watch Fios and don't use an iPad for layer3. We have 3 profiles, one for DH, DD, and myself. It took about 5 days for it to "learn" what we liked to watch and now it really does just show what we would like to watch.

It has it's own DVR (1TB) and needs to be plugged into the router, so I'm not sure if it's compatible with Tivo.

Only minor complaints thus far. If the box is interrupted while recording a show (say 25min of a 60min show has recorded when you need to restart the box), once the box comes back on it doesn't continue recording the show.

The picture quality is FAR beyond what we had before. We can record 8 shows at once (I think the max we've had to do thus far is 5). We have a second box on another floor and it's just as good as the primary. Very happy we made the switch.
