Bus back to hotel after show?

Traveling to NYC with tween. Seeing a show Friday night. Almost straight shot from theater to hotel but it is a good 15 block walk. We have done it in the past but I never feel 100% safe. Has anyone caught the bus on 7th or 6th avenue free show? We are heading toward the park. Can pretty much impossible to find. TIA.

Walk over to 8th grab cab or Uber.

agree w/ cab or uber.
that being said, i was just in nyc with my young teen and we walked even though it was 11pm. some of the streets were quiet but most were busy enough.
