Estrogen dominance - is it a real thing?

Anonymous
For MONTHS I have been Googling about my symptoms and I keep getting suggestions that I am in perimenopause and suffering from estrogen dominance.

My symptoms: heart palpitations, some night sweats, foggy brain (a bit) and very very light period.

I'm 32 years old. Been off the pill for 1 year and my period has never come back to normal. Cycles range from 26 days - 35 days and period is literally 1 day of "normal" bleeding and then a small amt of brown blood for a day or two after.

I am genuinely worried I am having early menopause. I want to conceive - so that's a serious issue, but the other issue is my symptoms (those heart palpitations, etc.) are TERRIBLE. And they do seem to coincide with my cycle.

Anyone know anything about this??? Would love thoughts!!!

Good question.
I saw a naturopath a year or two ago. I was having trouble losing weight and she mentioned tha I probably have it. Symptoms seemed to fit. But I never did follow through. Now I'm even fatter.

Have you had your thyroid checked? A problem with your thyroid is likely more common that menopause that early. See your doctor, something sounds wrong.

Thanks - OP here.

Yea, Thyroid was checked and all normal surprisingly.

Luckily, not having any weight issues yet but we'll see!

After my first child, I was having terrible night sweats for quite some time, and menopause like symptoms, hot flashes etc. I was diagnosed with not having enough estrogen, because breastfeeding had "sucked it right out" of me. Used a little Premarin cream, like menopausal ladies do, and all righted itself. Go to your GYN.

My stepmother completed menopause before she was 35. I assume that would make perimenopause around 33? It's a possibility (although not common).
