There's no expiration date or direction to refrigerate on the jar. But, I used some this morning after not having cooked with it for a long time (several months) and I've been feeling gross ever since. It smelled and looked normal. |
It should be fine. I don't think ghee goes off. |
It wasn't the ghee. It's shelf stable and lasts for years after opening. Unless you contaminated the jar last time you used it, than it was probably something else. |
No. Ghee does not go bad, normally. If you used a wet spoon etc to scoop it out or it was contaminated with something else - it may spoil. So, always use a clean and dry spoon.
Aged ghee is a medicinal ingredient in Ayurveda. |
Ghee can last for years without spoiling. |
Did you ever see that one episode of the Sopranos? Yuck! |
Doesn't go bad. Always use a clean spoon. |
Ghee, I didn't know that... thanks |
