How do you fit in regular school, tutoring (prob. need 2-3 days a week at the minimum) and extracurriculars?
All the dyslexia stuff I read says: help them focus on their strengths too. Well, my daughter is an excellent ballet dancer and she does competitive ballet 3x/week which may go up to 4-5 next year or the year after. How do I let her "focus on her strength," ballet, and STILL fit in regular school and the requisite dyslexia tutoring? How do other people do this? |
| Intensive summer tutoring? |
| Find a tutor who will work with your daughter on the weekends. |

Honestly, we couldn't make it work. Not the answer you were looking for, but we ended up at private SN school.

| We ended up in a private school that allows a tutor to come during school hours for tutoring twice a week for 50 minutes, this still gives us time for sports. We also did intense summer tutoring to make up for the additional hours of tutoring we couldn't do during the week. |
| We went with a tutor right after school 2-3 times a week. He could do other activities after that. |
+1 Intensive summer tutoring is not going to make up for no tutoring during the year. She probably will need both. |
