What Color is Your Kids' Furniture?

I'm getting ready to buy a twin bed for my son and really want black wood furniture. Does anyone else have it for their kids? Or is it really weird?

It's not my taste, mainly because black furniture shows dust REALLY quickly. But if you like it, go for it!

Sounds very chic. If the finish is likely to chip, keep something on hand to touch it up.

I have a black metal frame queen bed for my son from Room and Board. I like black, I think you will enjoy it. Nice contrast and better than those blah browns you often see in boy's rooms. White does not feel quite right for a boy.

I think black could be nice - esp. with red, white and powder blue accent.
I think navy blue (a la pottery barn) is beautiful too.
a lot of the furniture in restoration hardware baby is dark
