Open houses for pk 4?

We just moved into a very popular in bounds school zone and we will be applying for pk4 for our son. Do we need to attend an open house even though we have friends at the school and are pretty sure we will be applying?

Sometimes open houses make you rethink applying to a school. At least an open house let's you see the building and see what it is lacking or see if it has the amenities and computers you may want.
