Another OBX Question

Is it worth the ride? Would you go somewhere else? DH's family seems sold on it. Me, not so much. Are there "nicer" areas within OBX? Thx!

For a "beach" vacation, the Outerbanks is perfect. We also go to Rehoboth if we want to shop, ride bikes, walk the boardwalk. The Outerbanks is serene, beautiful and not much riff raff. I guess it depends on what you're looking for in a vacation to the beach.

Yes, worth the ride. Renting near DC, Philly, NY is very high. Great places to rent at a great beach with warmer water.

No boardwalk, but lots of towns and cools stuff on the island and off in Manteo.
