Current cost of PGD at CFA?

Anonymous
I had PGD done on my embryos (now screaming infant twins, so it worked!) years ago at CFA. One embryo still in storage had no PGD results. I'm considering having it thawed, rebiopsied, and retested. Anyone know what the current price of biopsy and testing is at CFA without insurance? Do they still use Natera, or are they using a different lab now? Transferring it without testing is not a great option because I would be transferring to a surrogate, and it took me years and lots of $$$ to find the surrogate who carried my twins.

If you can clarify whether you mean PGD (you are a genetic carrier for a specific disorder) or PGS, I can give you some current info

PGD (for chromosomal translocation, not a single-gene defect)

They use Good Start Genetics and make use of the new NGS technology. The sheet I was given only has rates for PGS. For PGS it's kind of nice that they offer testing in smaller batches. Instead of paying $2000 for 10 embryos like you do with FEC, they offer testing for 1-2 embryos at $350. The price per embryo is a little more expensive, but I don't have a lot of blasts to test, so I didn't like having to pay $2000 up front and never get close to my money's worth.
