You're still within range. If it was over 2.5, I'd be concerned, but at 2.0, I'd be okay with it, just make sure to keep an eye on it, especially if you get a bfp. Get it retested four weeks after that test. Are you currently on synthroid?

yes, currently on 50 mcg a day and monitored by endo.

Stay on top of it with the endo. Mine tested me monthly through both my pregnancies and upped my dose as needed. 2.0 is fine for now. Just keep an eye on it.

ok, so 2.0 is fine if I am transferring an embryo tomorrow?

Around 1 is ideal. 2 is not too bad. Go for it but stay on thyroid med.

how quickly can i bring it down? how long does it take for an increased dosage of synthroiud to kick in?

ok, so odd, just got an email from the other lab that came back with 3.91. I've NEVER had a TSH that high, esp. since I am on medication. one lab came back with 2.06, and one with 3.91. SO weird. I shouldnt do the transfer if TSH is 3.91 though?

I literally got TSH tested at 2 different places yesterday - UGH

I think you're fine for transfer tomorrow. Just schedule a prompt follow up with your endo to recheck and closely monitor your levels.

Fine to transfer with 3.91?

Talk to your RE and your endo. You can bump up your dose right away. Your endo may have you double up your pills, or take some extra number per week while they call in a new prescription. Your tsh is a lagging indicator - it takes time to shift, even if you're on the right dose of meds.

Estrogen binds to the thyroid hormone, taking it out of circulation and bumping up your tsh. When doing IVF, your estrogen levels are increased. Call your RE and your endo. I would go ahead with the transfer, while bumping up thyroid meds under the advice of my endocrinologist.

yes, my estrogen level was 1585, super high, so maybe that's affecting the TSH? My endo I already spoke to - she said to up my dose immediately. Will speak to my RE in the morning before the transfer. I will be able to adjust my dosage immediately, question is really whether it will affect implantation - levels should normalize within a week I'd assume?
