Best place to go skiing late March?

Anonymous
Fairfax County has a long weekend March 24. Want to go on a long weekend to ski with our elementary aged boys. We can drive or fly.

Where do you think is our best bet to go? Colorado? VT?

Colorado and Utah will both be fine then.

Utah- fly direct to SLC.

Steamboat Springs. You can fly in to their regional airport. Great skiing, real town.

If you are going for a long weekend you will have to connect to get to Steamboat. Places near SLC are easier to get to and they are getting a lot of snow this year.

+1. Major resorts are 30 miles from SLC airport.

We are going to Breck. Going Thursday, coming back Monday, 3 days of skiing.

This year I'd do crested butte or Jackson hole- both pummeled with snow. Lots of Colorado is struggling a bit

Jackson is tough for a long weekend because you have to connect. We've gone for 3 days before but you lose a whole day coming back so it takes us 4.5 days. Going in march for 4 days - should be great with all the snow.
