DD friend (7yo) with older (18/19yo) siblings mentioning items that look like penises - Normal?

Anonymous
DD relayed what friend was talking about at school and asked if she should tell the teacher on her friend for this. I told her yes but now I am wondering is that the right thing to do? Would it be better to let the mom know privately if I happen to run into her? Should I not be concerned at all/ is this normal behavior? They had an issue in class with a child kissing another so maybe the parents talked to their daughter and she's just relaying this to the rest of her friends.

Would the other parent even care? Feeling like I may be a bit of a prude but I'm not sure. Would you want to know?

I have no idea what you're getting at. Seriously. Deep breath, and try again. What happened?

I don't get what you mean about the kissing incident, but can't see how it's related. Im also not sure what the teenage siblings have to do with it.

Do not tell the mom. Let the teacher deal with it. Tell the teacher "My daughter told me that Sally said 'that eraser looks like a penis,' and 'your shoe looks like a penis.' I don't want to get her in trouble, but just thought you should know."

Hopefully, the teacher will keep an eye on it, and will talk to Sally's parents if needed.

Your 7 year-old doesn't know what a penis looks like? My 4 year old does. The kids all go to the bathroom together in preschool and she has seen my husband naked getting out of the shower.

Op, obviously you need to clarify. But pp, where did you read that OP's daughter doesn't know what it looks like? And honestly, why would you be so incredulous about it if she didn't?

Op here. Sorry for the confusion.. to clarify, she poked holes in the top of her hotdog and cheese stick and proceeded to say how both now looked like penises. My daughter has a brother who she has seen so she knew what one looks like but nonetheless she hasn't tried to make one on paper or out of food. I was concerned the other child might be getting abused or exposed to more graphic descriptions but it sounds like this is normal? No?
