I second the vote for G&M---you can even order them on their website and have them delivered on dry ice. We have been G&M fans for nearly 10 years and often send their crabcakes to family/friends as gifts. You will not be disappointed. The restaurant is a total dive---looks like an American Legion (though I think they may have renovated recently). However, don't be fooled by the cheesy decor---their crab cakes are orgasmic!

They did renovate recently- not nearly as bad as it used to be!

Jerry's Seafood in Bowie, MD is also really good. This place is also not that appealing inside but their crab bombs are amazing! https://www.jerrysseafood.com/main.php

Stoney's Seafood House has amazing crabcakes but it's on Solomon's Island.

There is a vendor at Dupont Farmer's market on Sundays that sells amazing crabcakes. They are very easy to broil at home. I think i'm addicted to them.

That's where I would go if I could go anywhere. Amazing crab cakes and about the size of a softball. Mmmmmm!

Not being snarky at all, but why not try making them at home? That way you can control the amount of filler, the quality of the crabmeat, the seasonings. Even if you are not confident in your cooking skills, crabcakes are relatively easy to make and cook. Might be fun, even something you could do with the kids.
