Expectant and Postpartum Moms
|
We're expecting DS#2 in early November and do not have the luxury of family to rely on. Wondering if there is a mother's helper or a hired help to assist DS#1 while we are in the delivery room. Where can I find one? Also, is there a website that might have postings for temporary off-hour nurses that can assist? Thanks. |

There is a company called Momease that offers postpartum doula services by the hour. I haven't used them so can't comment on the services but just wanted to pass the info along:
www.momease.com You could also look into companies that provide in home health care and support services. They often focus on services to the elderly and/or those with chronic illness but I imagine some of them work with new parents too. One I found is http://www.familynursingcare.com/support_services.html Again, I am not recommending them since I haven't used them, just pointing out the type of service. If you google "in home health care washington dc" you'll find a bunch more. Good luck. |
