How hard it is to get into St. Albans?

Our son is almost 5. We are trying to decide on wether to start kindergarten at a public school or stay at a current preschool and then try to get into St. Albans.

St Albans doesn't start until 4th grade so it's not a choice for you now. It is very difficult to get into even in entry/expansion years.

It's probably too late, but if you goal is St Albans, and you want to enter in 4th grade, your best bet is to attend K at Beauvoir.

Search for "Getting in to St. Albans." Probably one of the most viewed threads of all time.

Because applications for Beauvoir were due earlier this month.

The OP is not asking an incorrect question at all. There is a new pre-school, child development school called St. Alban's which is not affiliated with the 4-12 one. It is located in Tenleytown at the old St. Ann's Academy. It is independent of St. Alban's and St. Ann's.

It's not new, just the location. I believe its affiliated with St. Albans church but is now housed in the former St. Ann's school.

Forget it if you aren't a legacy or minority.

Wow... you seem bitter. Was your son not admitted?

It's a child care center that goes up to age 5 so OPs son is presumably not looking at this since he's already 5.
