The "Reid" referenced is most likely Reid H. Weingarten, a defense attorney [1.14].

"Reid's guy" is John G. Rowland, the former Republican Governor of Connecticut [1.8].

"Went down on all 7 counts" refers to Rowland's conviction by a federal jury on all seven felony counts (conspiracy, obstruction of justice, and falsifying records) on that specific day in 2014 [1.8].

ONE. That's the number of years so far that Trump could have released the files, particularly after his campaign promises to do so. It was always a strange promise given that he's shown up thousands of times across the files, and it took 1000 FBI agents to attempt to identify all those instances. Next year will be TWO by the way.
