No they don't. You are thinking NESCAC, which is D3 but the very high academics and they wait until summer before senior year. D3 as a whole doesn't have a time frame like D1 and D2 do because they don't have athletic scholarships. |
| Players can commit to D3 teams any time after Sept 1st just like D1 and D2. The only exception are the NESCAC schools that hold out until summer of Jr year. |
NESCAC schools commit summer before senior year. Other DIII schools may commit players earlier if they want the player and the star align, including around grades. |
|
YJ’s current commit list with a few more to come. Not a bad second choice for girls in area who want to play in college. Program really turning around with 25/26 teams.
Not bashing any other area clubs in Va but no one is close behind Capital and YJ’s. Recruiting director is critical and they have a good one. JMU VCU Longwood Tampa High Point Mercer CNU ODU UVA Wise ODU |
Very impressive! |
Well, "good" depends on how you rank a school. JMU is impressive - awesome team. But most of these schools have neither great teams or great academics. |
| Who cares they busted their ass and are playing lax in college. Do you think people really care Egbert your degree comes from? Thermometers have degrees and we know sometimes we stick them up our a**. I’m so sick of people down playing a great accomplishment. |
Sounds like that's where your thermometer is right now. |
| Actually I stuck it up your moms. She says hi. |
Hopefully your kids behave better. |
| Congrats to all! |
Yes indeed. Stay classy, YJMA recruiting person. |
Agred. The only person that could possibly become this unglued and respond in such a manner would be a YJMA coach or recruiting coordinator. |
Players can commit to D3 at anytime and D2 contact day is actually June 15. Frostburg was the first school I saw commit a 25 on the 15th and they committed there second girl on August 30. |
| I am a newbie. What type of $ do these commits usually get in scholarships? |
