Does anyone know what herbal teas are safe during pregnancy?
This babycenter article for example says not to drink raspberry leaf, stinging nettle etc. http://www.babycenter.com/0_herbal-teas-during-pregnancy_3537.bc But I looked at the Yogi Tea website and the "Mothers to Be" tea specifically has those ingredients... http://www.yogitea.com/#/ProductInfo/ |
Raspberry leaf tea is supposed to help with uterine muscle tone. My midwife said you can drink this any time during your pregnancy. The nettle tea I think is for something else, but not sure what. I would ask your provider. |
it is hard to ask providers as dr's don't aren't vastly knowlegeable about herbs. Wish there were more integrative dr's who knew just as much about herbs as they do pharms. I guess a dietician/nutritionist with some holistic training might be your best person to talk to? |
I found that mint tea was on most of the 'safe' tea lists. |
