I'm looking for casual--jeans, athletic pants, etc. Anything with the right inseam is huge in the waist on him. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

| Gap |
| Yes, GAP has slim sizes. |
| Old Navy also has slim sizes. Check Burlington Coat Factory - some of their brands are slim. And really, check eBay if you're not concerned about them being brand new. People sell pants in lots of 5 or 6. |
| Lands End |
| You need to purchase slims. Also, Polo is fairly slim cut. |
PS - try the slim cut in Gymboree, Crazy 8, Gap, Izod, Lands End. |
|
Also, check out uniform sections online and in store at Kohls and JCP, slim sizes.

Children's Place has pants that come in slims. They also have an adjustable wait. It is the only pant that my stick thin 11 yo can wear. They come in cargo, jeans, and regular khaki pants.
We never have any luck with Gap or Lands End. They just too wide. Sometimes Target has the Shaun White line; those run very slim and I think have adjustable waists. Athletic pants are so hard. Sometimes UnderArmour has some with a drawstring that DS can tie onto himself. Same with basketball/soccer shorts. Champion can work too. Also, find a friend who sews and have her run a seam up the back of the athletic shorts! |
| Uniqlo has casual/athletic pants which work on my slim kid. UnderArmour has a slimmer waist and longer inseam; I haven't had luck with Gap- haven't seen their athletic pants offered in slim sizes. |
| Old Navy has the slimmest jeans that I have been able to find. We've tried everything for my tall, thin kids. |

Nike has worked the best for us for athletic pants. We do have to tie the drawstrings but it's not obnoxiously bunchy. We haven't tried adidas but I've heard other parents of skinny kids like those too.
We usually do Old Navy and Lands End slim cut pants and jeans. I just sized DS up to sz 10 and found Old Navy is still loose, though not falling down, even at the tightest adjustment. DS is 1st percentile BMI. |
| Does Children's Place still fit? They have S for slim size. I get size 7 and 8 for my 6 yr old tall and lean son. The slim helps a lot and it has the stretchable belt. |
Huh. I've never seen slim In girls at Children's Place. Gap slim are the slimmest IME. |
| H&M - my 8 y/o is 4' 9" and 65 lbs and H&M pants fits him perfectly |
