| How long before these go away under a Trump administration? |
Don't worry, he's got a long list of mistakes to correct. He'll get there. |
| Are you under the impression reason he can effectuate this by fiat of Executive Order? |
| One of the reasons why DC is still stuck where it is, is that statehood/congressional voting activists spend more time worrying about what license plates the presidents' vehicles have, instead of looking at other creative, politically feasible solutions like retroceding to Maryland. |
What makes you think that retrocession is politically feasible? Retrocession would require Maryland's consent and polls show that there is little support among Marylanders. Instead of criticizing activist on the basis of false assumptions (e.g. that ore time is spent worrying about license plates than creative solutions), maybe become a retrocession activist yourself? |
| Washingtonians don't want retrocession either. |
Sadly, we have no say in the matter. It is between Congress and Maryland. |
That is crazy. You guys have no say. Wow. |

Just reported by the pool reporters traveling with Trump, the limo has the "Taxation Without Representation" tags. So, Trump gets a brownie point.
|
The right-wing advisors in the White House have had other things to focus on. But now that a reporter helpfully put in in the pool report, Priebus, Bannon et al. will put changing the tags on their list. |
| Trump did say early in his. Campaign that he was in favor of statehood. Not that anything he says has meaning or can be relied upon. |
He probably doesn't know what a license plate is. |
| Fossilized DC Delegate (and local tax scofflaw) Eleanor Holmes Norton sports "Representation Without Taxation" plates on her vehicle. |

They were talking about the fact the Presidential limo has the tags on the Kojo show today.
The question was: are the tags on the limo on purpose or are they on just cause no one knows any better. Consensus was that they would be gone as soon as someone heard the news the car had the plates on them. Tom Sherwood did not sound optimistic at all. Now also according to Tom Sherwood (it might have been Patrick Madden) Pence is on the record in supporting DC (not sure if Statehood or giving EHN a vote) when he was in Congress and it's in the Congressional Record if anyone wants to do an actual search. |
When GW Bush was president he took the tags off. Obama put them back on. |
