What age for lip/eyebrow wax for DD

Anonymous
At what age did you allow DD to get her lip and/or eyebrow waxed? DD is 10.5yrs and is bothered by her peach fuzz but dark mustache over her lip and unibrow.

If she's bothered, I'd help her take care of it in a safe and effective way. If you don't help her, she'll find her own way, and it may lead to cuts/burns, etc.

OP here - recommendations - wax, thread, bleach?

+1. My daughter has dark hair and I think that's about the age that she asked and I started taking her for waxes. As a tip, Ulta does waxes for far less money than a salon. That's where my DD has been going since 10.

Let her bleach her lip at 12.. Her eyebrows are fine. Thick ones are in. If she'd got a CRAZY unibrow, maybe let her pluck some (or rather, do it for her) once she's 12.

Also to add, I don't let her shape her eyebrows. Just get the unibrow and craziness waxed.

Why would you start your kid on a salon habit? Do it at home with bleach or tweezers. That's how you end up with college kids with crazy debt because they need to get a professional manicure every week.

You and your kids must not be as hairy as we are. Bless your heart.

If it's bothering her, please do something.

My mom--who is a redhead and has no visible body hair--only ever gave me a bottle of peroxide and told me to go over my upper lip with peroxide on a cotton ball. That doesn't do anything. She didn't get it. Thank goodness one of her friends showed up one day when I was in high school and just handed me a box of Jolene bleach. I finally started waxing in college.

Sally Hanson makes wax strips. You can purchase at CVS. Press on and remove opposite of the way the hair grows. I am very fair and this would irritate my skin a little bit so I use at night.

I prefer Veet or Nads brand wax strips. You warm them up between your hands first. But I would talk her to a salon the first time, poor thing.

I wouldn't wax this early. Her skin is still so sensitive. I'd get it threaded for her. It's a lot more gentle.

This is the kind of question the beauty and fashion forum excels at.
