It's a pain to fold up but once you have a technique, it isn't bad. Easy to check. |
If you are Amazon Prime, perhaps have it shipped ti where you are staying. Saves some packing on the outbound leg. |
That's a good idea, but it's an international trip, so I don't think I'd be able to do that. Would probably be good to make sure we have the room to bring it back, anyway.

| Is it ok to have it where you're going? They are banned in some places. |
I'm definitely going to check before we buy one. I know some of the nearby beaches you can rent an umbrella from locals. Not sure about others except to know that locals don't set up shop thereviews because it's park land. |

We have this https://www.amazon.com/Otentik-Beach-SunShade-Original-Sunshade/dp/B00XCIAVA6/ref=pd_sim_468_6?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00XCIAVA6&pd_rd_r=HKDDDNREAG7CNFJJ4T0J&pd_rd_w=XbMv1&pd_rd_wg=h1wPT&psc=1&refRID=HKDDDNREAG7CNFJJ4T0J
It weighs nothing and goes up in minutes. Uses sand as an anchor. Expensive tho. |
