Universal FL vs Universal Hollywood?

We want to go to Universal sometime this year.

Is one better than the other? Are there any main differences?

We can either go to Universal FL during spring break in mid-April or Universal Hollywood in mid-July. I know crowds will be high during both times.

Which would you do - CA in July or FL in April?

Florida's is bigger but if you just want a taste then CA is fine. I like CA as a trip better because there is more non theme park stuff to do. But universal Florida was fantastic.

A LOT of people avoid Florida. Its full of retirees and the climate sucks.

tons of people like Florida (it's warm, the beaches are beautiful etc.) you don't need to make someone feel bad for considering going there.

California. Weather is more predictable and forgiving. Also - more things to do outside of park. Travel time/costs may push you to FL
