The Founder- is there a book this movie was based on?

I don't see anything from google about the screenplay coming from a book adaptation. But it kind of looks fascinating. I mean McDonald's is ubiquitous, and sometimes after long flights and posts abroad, with great food no doubt, there is nothing like that smell of their french fries in an airport when you have been up 24 hours and just want junk.

Its easy to hold them up as all that is wrong with the food system, again no doubt. But its kind of crazy when you think about just 2 generations ago at most, it was a mom and pop stand.
