Cleaning vomit out of pack n play

Anonymous
Oh gosh I thought we had avoided getting the stomach bug that's been going around but last night DS threw up all over his pack n play. I washed the sheets but he got some on side netting. Any tips for cleaning it?

I'd hose it off outside while the weather is nice or put it in the tub with a little detergent and hope for the best.

Graco suggests mild liquid soap. I'd probably tip the thing onto its side (vomit side down) on top of a towel. Squirt some liquid soap on the area that got hit, blot and scrub as needed with a wet sponge or towel, then rinse with another wet sponge or towel.

Vinyl, Plastic, and Metal Parts (mattress, mesh sides, frame)
Use a damp cloth or sponge with hand soap or dish soap to wipe clean the vinyl, plastic, and metal parts. Stay away from harsh household cleaners. Never use bleach to clean your Pack n' Play. If your Pack n' Play gets sandy, carefully remove all sand from all surfaces before packing it into the carry bag.

Carry Bag
Machine wash in cold water on the delicate cycle and drip dry.

Sheet
Pack N' Play playard sheets are fully machine washable, and can be drip-dried or tumble dried. Never use bleach to clean this product.

Soft Toys
Soft, cloth toys can be spot cleaned with warm soapy water. Be careful not to let water drip into the battery compartment!

Note: never use bleach to clean any part of this product.

Try castille soap.

Rub from both sides at the same time.

I wouldn't hose it down unless you're willing to blow dry it dry b/c it will get mildewy smelling. Airing it outside might be helpful. Also, if there are lingering odors, try buying the odor killing stuff from the pet store. Worked like a charm on our car for vomit.

Hose it off and then put it in the sun for a while.

I've had luck scubbing with two Clorox wipes (blah blah blah chemicals) one on the inside and one on the outside, and then dousing two cloths in vinegar again one on the inside and one on the outside) for the final wipe. It smells while you are doing it, but once the vinegar dries, the vomit and vinegar smell is gone.
