Kids With Special Needs and Disabilities

If so, can you use it in conjunction w/a commercial plan, or will it 'cancel out' the original plan or take priority?
Any other programs available? We do not qualify for finacial-based programs, or disability because our child is not nursing-home bound. We are looking for something similar to 'medigap' for seniors, but for our disabled child. We are financially struggling due to the enormous co-pays and 'out of network' payments for therapies and doctor visits. Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks. |
| You can apply for MHIP if your child doesn't have group (employer-based) coverage. If he's got coverage in the individual market, he's generally eligible for MHIP. I'm not sure who is primary payor - MHIP or the other plan. |
