| Did you choose to do another IVF/FET cycle after your first DC or try to conceive via intercourse? |
| Tried for 4 months and quickly realized it wasn't going to happen. Trying IUi before we go back to IVF. |
| We have frozen embryos, and we are planning on having them thawed and tested. We'll be pursuing another FET. |
| New poster. I did FET for baby #2, after baby #1 was IVF. Trying more FET for baby #3. Like the PP, I thawed my frozen and tested them before transferring |

My best friend had to do 5 rounds of IVF to get her BFP after years of trying. She was told she could not have children on her own for a number of reasons and was planning to use a frozen embryo for #2.
Well, she accidentally got pregnant naturally and her DD is only 8 months old. I say try for 3 months if you aren't in a hurry to see what happens. |
| Anyone considering doing a natural cycle FET next time? I hated the 11 or so weeks of meds and we have enough embryos stored that I'd consider trying natural cycle. |
I know you meant well with this post but it really annoys me when people say this. For most people needing IVF they don't accidently/easily get pregnant the second time. So many people tell me this like oh! It will be so easy next time. Nope it won't, it's going to take monitoring and needles and many tries to hopefully have a second baby. |

I'm in your same boat. I just assumed I'd do FET for DC #2. However got pregnant on my own (first non-IVF pregnancy in 5+ years TTC) but ended in miscarriage. Now I want to revisit my RE to update testing and see if this was just a fluke or if our overall ability to conceive naturally has improved.
So I guess my advice would depend on your situation and particular diagnosis. |

I did IVF at 32 for unexplained fertility. I ovulate every 28 days, husband's sperm great ,etc. Had twins.
Tried naturally for about a year. Nothing. Did IVF again at 34. Singleton. Have not used birth control since and now it's 7 years later (I'm 42) and I never once got pregnant. So in retrospect, I'm REALLY glad we did IVF when we did. Apparently despite normal testing (and we had the whole gamut of testing twice) we are really infertile. |
