Anyone have kids at Julius West or Richard Montgomery?

Anonymous
We're considering moving after elementary school. I like the College Gardens/Woodley Gardens neighborhoods near Montgomery College. (I'm also open to other affordable neighborhoods in the cluster if you can recommend one). It looks like only one middle school (Julius West) feeds into Richard Montgomery. I'm looking for opinions on academics, social stuff, stress, etc. at both schools.

I am also curious.

My child went through Julius West and RM and I was not impressed with JW (and she was in the MYP Program).

PP, can you elaborate. Why weren't you impressed with Julius West?

Is it true that there is an element at RM that could lead your child in a not so good direction if you are not careful about what classes the child takes?
I have heard teachers from JW that have said that it is a poor school.

Um, that's true of every school in Montgomery County.

Or, to be expansive, every high school in the greater metropolitan DC area.

Or, to be even more expansive, every high school in the country (yes, even those really expensive private ones!)
