S/O saying I Love You early on

The other thread (http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/609541.page) got me thinking... If you said "I love you" to your boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse early in the relationship, how did things turn out?

We said it two weeks in. Married 5y, 2 kids later.

My husband said it after the first date. We chatted a lot on the phone before meeting. We're married and have 1 baby. My husband died really love me but he's got anger problems.

Previous relationships we said it early on (like 3rd date, which was 1week-10days after starting to date). They all crashed and burned. DH waited 8 months. Together 8 years, married 6, 1 child, very happy.

No man should ever say this to a woman until at least four months into a relationship.

About a month. We've been married for over 13 years. Two kids.

Said at six days... six years in, married four. So happy and more in love than ever. 1 kid.

After first date is a HUGE red flag.

Said it 2 month in. After a major crisis. I was on massive pain medication in the hospital. Husband (of 11 years) still jokes about it.

My DH said it on the day we met and I thought he was nuts. We've been together 20 years.

After three weeks (of spending each weekend together since we were philly/dc). We had also known one another for 10 years at that time. Married 12 years 3 kids.

I think I said it once, after I'd been married to her for 7 or 8 years.

I actually don't think this PP is kidding. My DH didn't say it to me until after we were engaged, ring and wedding date set. Seriously. We are pretty affectionate as a couple and a family regardless. Together over 20 years, married over 16.
