I typically get some twinges of pain when I ovulate each month. Does anyone know if you are actually releasing the egg when you feel the cramps, or if that is just your body gearing up? I ask because I started feeling some cramps/twinges this afternoon and am wondering if it will be too late if we DTD tonight. We haven't DTD since Saturday because I am sick and wasn't expecting to O for a few more days. Plus my OPK was negative this AM. But this feels exactly like my typical O pains.
Any ideas? |
| I imagine it varies by person but I had ovulation cramping 1-2 days before egg released. I thought I was releasing egg when I cramped and timing sex perfectly but when I wasn't pregnant after 6 months of "perfectly timed sex," I started using ovulation tests and discovered I was ovulating 24-48 hours after the cramping! Was pregnant the next month. |
| I have ovulation cramps for 4-5 days leading up to LH surge. think it's my body gearing up. i would trust the Clear Blue test over random body twinges |
I got my numbers wrong... I had cramping 1-2 days before my opk smiley face so I ovulated 3-4 days after cramping. |
| Thanks everyone... guess it's time to DTD. |
| Except if your ovulation test was negative, then you haven't surged yet? |
