RIP to Richard Adams. Watership Down was one of my favorite books of all time

I loved that book when I read it in college once upon a time, but I totally forgot about it until I read his obit in the Post this week and recalled Fiver and the other rabbits. What an amazing imagined world! I don't think his other books measured up to Watership Down, though.
RIP. Watership down is one of my favorite books too.
He was an incredible author. "The Girl in a Swing" is one of the most terrifying novels I've ever read, and beautifully written.
Loved Watershed Down and have been thinking of rereading it. My DD is 11 - maybe in a few more years we'll read it together.
Autocorrect does not like Watership. WATERSHIP, darn it.
I read Maia when I was in high school. Loved it.

reminds me now of this scene from the movie adaptation
