Does anyone else find Trader Joe's packaging exceptionally difficult to open? I don't have arthritis or anything and normally no issues. But TJ's packaging is just difficult to open. For example, at the store yesterday I bought several cans of TJs Dark coffee and needed to open them to grind the beans. Well the plastic cover is no issue. But then they have the beans sealed and there's a foil flap that you have to pull, which is glued. I hurt my fingers trying to open it, I mean why are they using this heavy glue? Why not just let the flap be, or use some adhesive that's not so strong? It's almost like they make it especially more difficult to open.
Yes. More than any place, we sometimes have to return random TJ items because none of us can open them.
Agree. It's really annoying.

I've never had an issue that scissors can't fix.
I'd rather have tighter seals than loose ones (that may spoil food, introduce contamination, or force me to make a return trip to the store) |
Loose seal! Loose seal!
Tell them.
Arrested Development?

Their packaging is the worst. Nothing is resealable. I think they use the cheapest materials they can possibly find. So annoying.
|
I agree completely. My husband is constantly yelling about not being able to open things easily. I think they just go the cheap route.
I've never noticed this!
They also way over package their produce.
I've had two jars I, DH, and visiting family have been unable to open. As in unable to open.
