| Driving up it and I would love a scenic ocean view. |
| Our version is RT 1 or A1A in Florida. Nothing like the pch |
Are you talking about just the stretch that goes into the keys? I'm not going down that far south... |
| We have the blue ridge parkway for scenic drives but rte 1 is about as close to a coastal toad as you'll get. |
| Us Coastal Route 1 from Freeport to Bar Harbor would be the closest thing to the PCH. It is stunning, but doesn't come close to the PCH. |
| No. |
|
There are some parkways that run alongside the Potomac river here in MD / DC
And there are roads which run alongside the Hudson river in NJ and Manhattan. Not one, long road, but a few smaller ones. |
Any in the south? I will be going from basically the southern tip of georgia up to DC |
Look at a map - people have already said Florida. |
But I'm not.... going through Florida? |
| Neither your title nor your OP gave any limitations on where on the east coast, hence the Florida suggestions. Otherwise, for where you are going there isn't anything close. |
This has to be the stupidest thread. OP--LOOK AT THE DAMN MAP! Do you see a highway running continuously up the coast from Georgia to DC? |
| A1A |
ARE YOU NEW TO DCUM? Take several deep breaths. It's gonna be okay |
| OP, look up Blue Ridge Parkway to Georgia. Not coastal, but beautiful. It's "America's Favorite Drive." You can start on Skyline Drive near Winchester and go 469 miles, almost to GA. By that time you'll want to get off and pick up some speed anyway! |
