Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion and Sedona in August - must sees for a 7 and 10 year old

OK, I stole the idea, but would love feedback. I also have a 1.5 year old, but she's small enough not to be entitled to an opinion. I am especially interested in any ideas for stops between Grand Canyon area and the Bryce/Zion area. It's a 9.5 hour ride according to MapQuest and I am planning to do the drive in one day.

...and not much else. it's pretty desolate in between this stretch.

from this area, you could do "Out of Africa" near Sedona, this is a zoo with rescued animals. Deer Farm great idea and even the train from Williams to the Grand Canyon. Doing all in one day is not possible even though 9.5 hours it is curvy roads and takes awhile.
