Camping within a 2-3 hour distance from DC

I am looking for ideas of places to take my kids camping. I would like to stay close to DC because I will only have a weekend. We've been to Luray and Natural Bridges. I want to go early in September so Ocean City might work, but not sure about the wind. Thanks for any ideas.

Little Bennet Regional Park in MoCo or Prince William Forest park in PW county.

We love Point Lookout in Southern MD. It's right where the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay meet, and it's an easy drive. We like it because in addition to the usual camping experience, it's also right on the water - but not super windy like the beach would be.
