This is what I look forward to. Survive the winter and all that's wrong with the world these days. Then I can immerse myself in gardnening again. Good for the soul!

I couldn't agree more! Was just thinking I only have to get through January and February, and then comes March, the month of Spring. Love working in my gardens and lawn - makes me a happy person.
I planted 5 hydrangeas and a cherry tree this Fall. Can't wait to see their spring comeback! |
Thanks for the pick up today!!
I always feel brighter on the day of the winter solstice. The light starts to return slowly but surely. I hunker down with my seed catalogs, making grandiose plans as if I'm laying down gardens at Versailles then turn to my little city patch!
My azaleas rebloomed in November, and my daffodils came through NYE. I have no idea if I'll even have spring flowers at this point. Climate change is ridiculous.
I can see some daffodils and crocuses poking through!!!! Just have to survive February and that first week of March now. Getting closer!!!
If our winter is going to be nothing but rain, then I can't wait for spring! Today is just so dreary and I hate it.
I didn't prune my hydrangea (or not enough). I'm guessing it's too late at this point, right? It looks pathetic...
My crocuses bloomed. Ten day forecast is mild. Seeing buds on all my roses!
Can't wait for the Magnolia Trees
|
Ahhhhh.... love that pic. Thanks!
