Falls Church Shcools/Neighborhoods

Anonymous
I've heard lots of great things about the City of Falls Church Schools. We're interested in the neighborhoods from which you could walk to East Falls Church or West Falls Church metro stations. Does anyone how the schools in these areas perform and compare to the other City of Falls Church schools?

It is my understanding that only 2 elementary schools serve the City of Falls Church, one middle school and one high school

There's Falls Church city, which has a separate school system from Fairfax or Arlington county. There's one elementary for K-2nd and one for 3rd -6th grade or something.

These are excellent public schools. This is typically zip code 22046. The north part of this is sometimes walkable to WFC metro.

Then there's Falls Church that is not in the city limits but is part of Fairfax County. It goes to a number of different elementary and high schools, all pretty good.

This is sometimes zip codes 22046 but also 22043. Falls Church also has zip 22042 and 22041 and I'm sure others but those tend to be further from metro (sleepy hollow, south of 7 corners, etc.). The other zip near WFC metro is Mclean, 22101.

For EFC metro, it is actually in Arlington county, in zip 22213. You could also check out zip 22207 and 22205 for some houses that are near there.
WFC has a lot more buses and parking than EFC metro. See wmata.org

longandfoster.com has a good map system for house listings and how close they are to things like public transportation.

Good luck.
