Two Rivers, what happens in upper grades

Question for Two Rivers parents, what are the upper grades like? Just spoke with 2 parents who both pulled their children out of Two Rivers as rising 5th grade students.

What's going on there?

It's 7+ families.

Why so many leaving?

5th grade is entrance point for DC Latin, so it could be students got in and are leaving in order to assure their middle/high school placement. My children are in charter school that goes 5th grade and beyond, and I am considering making a 5th grade switch if they get in to Latin.

I have also considered going back to DCPS in 5th, so that entrance to Deal is guaranteed. It's relatively easy to get into the Deal feeder elementaries OOB in 5th (but a lot of moving for kids). . . . .you do what you have to for the long run.

I can sort of see that, but 2 Rivers goes up to 8th grade.
