These two remind me of steven seagal and rachel dolezal. I came here to find the replies that sound like hillary but there is so much lol. I think amy schumer knew and did this on purpose, there are clips of ellen d and another comedian at his roast going after them naming their kid romeo and her name being stupid. If they didnt know she wasnt spanish and believed she was that would have come off as so disrespectful and prejudiced but they knew she was pretending to be from spain. I find that amazing. Also i love how she constantly posted obviously shopped pics of herself in her underwear and when ppl called her out she posted a video of herself with an obvious filter on to "prove" that she doesnt edit her pics. As if we dont have the technology. Shes probably kicking herself that she couldnt deepfake her face onto salma hayeks bod to catfish alec on tinder at the time of their meeting.

Linguistics too. To have a spanish accent when speaking english would mean you learned english second, AND your teacher had the accent as well.

Many native Spanish speakers have no accent at all when speaking English. My husband didn’t learn English until he was 10 and he doesn’t have any accent. Only my MIL has an accent, and she didn’t speak English until much later in life. Accents are really stupid things to fake.

I feel like a lot of people kind of knew this but there seemed to be no appetite for disclosure. I'm a fellow WASP like Hills who spent 3 years in Spain where I learned Spanish as a teen and around 10 years in Spanish speaking South America and it's always been very, very obvious to me she is not a native speaker. I'm sure their friends and colleagues knew, it's just so bizarre it is probably difficult to know how to handle it. They're idiots though to think that when they are exposed anyone is going to back them in their crazy lies. Staying silent is one thing, supporting it is way too far.

I think the issue was that if someone posts a comment, you don't need to respond with "FFS." There are literally thousands of comments so if you find that one offensive, maybe jump off this post? The person was just saying that Harvard is going to garner more interest than MGH so no need for the rudeness. She wasn't Harvard trained, she worked for a hospital affiliated with the school. Big difference.
